Dr. Kira Weidner is a clinical psychologist whose work spans clinical practice, clinical program development, research methodology, clinical product management, and AI safety and regulatory consulting. She is the founder and president of the non-profit The Center for Affirming Families, and founder/owner of Weidner Consulting Services LLC, an AI and digital mental health advisory. She is a member of APA Labs Expert Network, and leads resource development for the AI Mental Health Collective. Dr. Weidner previously taught graduate psychology courses on research methodology, cognition & emotion, and clinical theory & practice at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has published research on trauma, violence, and sexual offending behavior; and presented extensively on research design, risk assessment, and legal & ethical considerations in adolescent mental health treatment.
