Emily Dworkin, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and Spring Health's Senior Clinical Safety Officer. At Spring, she leads evaluations of AI safety and clinical outcomes, including efforts to benchmark chatbot safety. Before joining Spring, she was an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she led digital mental health and trauma recovery research that represented more than $9M in federal funding. She holds a PhD in clinical-community psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
